About Me
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the special education process and unsure of where to turn, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to face it alone.
I’m an Educational Consultant and Advocate dedicated to helping families confidently navigate the special education system. My commitment to this work is deeply personal: as the parent of a child with special needs, I understand both the courage it takes to seek help and the frustration of feeling unheard in a system that doesn’t always meet your child’s needs.
My mission is simple — to protect, inform, and advocate for every child’s right to an appropriate and individualized education plan (IEP or 504) that supports their academic and emotional success.
How I Support Families
I’ve helped hundreds of families—including parents, grandparents, and guardians—find their voice and make meaningful progress for their children.
My advocacy focuses on:
- Ensuring Compliance — Reviewing existing supports and services to confirm full adherence to state and federal special education laws.
- Strategic Advocacy — Asking the right, sometimes difficult, questions to ensure accountability and collaboration.
- Evidence-Based Solutions — Recommending proven programs and specialized service providers when a child’s plan isn’t producing results.
- Parent Empowerment — Offering workshops and personalized guidance that equip families to understand their rights and advocate effectively.
Experience & Background
I bring over two decades of experience as an educator, leader, and learning specialist. Throughout my career, I’ve seen how consistent, research-based instruction—and the right team approach—can change the trajectory of a student’s life.
In addition to this advocacy practice, I currently serve as a Development Director for Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes, where I continue to support literacy development and learning success nationwide.
My previous roles include:
- Lindamood-Bell Executive Center Director
- Regional Learning Center Manager
- Sylvan Learning Center Director
- Learning Development Manager
- Learning Solutions Consultant
I’ve had the privilege of working with learners from preschool through adulthood, and I continue to be inspired every day by the resilience and potential of the students and families I serve.
I also regularly speak with parent groups on topics such as Dyslexia, literacy development, and special education advocacy — because I believe informed parents are powerful advocates.
Let’s Connect
If you’re ready to take the next step or simply want to talk through your child’s current plan, I’d love to connect.
Together, we can make sure your child gets the education — and the future — they deserve.
